The hayride to the pumpkin patch and the actual picking of the pumpkins is always the highlight of the pumpkin patch. Noah had his heart set on a big one, but he had trouble carrying it with one arm, so he resorted to rolling it some of the time. Samuel wanted a "baby pumpkin," which proved to be the hardest for us to find. The kids are learning Daddy's rules for picking out pumpkins...1. It has to have a good stem. 2. It should be tall and skinny (because they are priced by width). 3. You have to carry your own pumpkin! (Leah was excused this year, but not Noah.)
