Our first order of business after arriving in Iowa for the holidays was to get Noah to his dad's house. It gave us the opportunity to get photos of this 10-year-old with his two new baby sisters--Leah May Philby, born Oct.13, 2006 and Taryn Isabel Hicks, born on Oct. 23, 2006.
At nineteen months, Samuel is excited to see his family and anxious to celebrate Christmas!

We really enjoyed spending time with 90-year-old Grandma Rephea! She finally got to meet baby Leah, whose middle name is May--after Rephea May. Samuel remembered her and led her down the hall to play. We also got a four generations photo with Grandma Rephea, Grandma Sherry, Jill, and Leah.
Babies abound at the Zietlow family Christmas celebration in Fontanelle!Eva--16 months, Daniel--24 months, and Samuel--19 months.

Here are Owen, 1 month, and Leah, 2 months in their Santa hats.

Big cousin Jacob is really good with the babies. Leah was pretty comfort
able with him here!
The Zietlow tradition of popcorn on Sunday night is a hit with Samuel! One of his latest words is "pop!"

Leah gave us some very pretty smiles at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Samuel loves to feed dogs by hand. Maggie would take each piece very
nicely!

Samuel--our budding pianist--shows off his skills at Grandma's house.

Leah started laughing while we were visiting. Grandpa Paul was great at getting her going!

Samuel was, of course, fascinated with the Christmas tree.

We had to take the little ones to see Santa. I would say all three were less than thrilled.

Even though Samuel didn't appreciate his time on Santa's lap, he didn't mind wearing the hat. He also began saying "Ho, Ho, Ho" any time he saw a Santa, a red suit, a hat like this, a snowman, etc.

Samuel fit right in with the Grandpa Paul watching football.

Leah and Samuel each posed under the Christmas tree for us.
Leah and Grandma Sherry became pretty close during our stay. Now Mommy blames Grandma for Leah not ever wanting to be put down!
Samuel participated wholeheartedly in the family tradition of eating at Ohana's Japanese Steakhouse to celebrate Mommy and Kerri's birthdays. He ate like a hog and loved playing with the chopsticks! He had so much fun with cousin Jacob that "Cub" has become a frequent word.
On Christmas Eve, Samuel got all dressed up for church...and boy! Was he excited about it!
Noah finally rejoined the family on Christmas morning. He
re he is hanging his ornament on the tree.
Noah, Leah and Samuel sit in front of the stockings on Christmas morning.
The Michael Philby family--Mike and Jill, Noah--10, Samuel--19 months, and Leah--2 months.
Grandma got a great smile from Noah after giving him this dartboard for Christmas!
Aunt Kerri and Leah--the beginning of a very special relationship!
